The Right Leg (5)
Fit the Self-Locking Nut into this matching recess of the Inner Knee Protection Ring (R), with the rounded end of the Nut facing up as shown:
Prepare the Knee Joint Bolt by sliding a split-ring Mudguard Washer and then the flat Washer over the end of it, as shown:
Retrieve your Right Leg assembly from the previous issue. Fit the center of the Inner Knee Protection Ring (R) into this matching recess of Upper Part of Knee Frame, orienting it as shown.
There are two small tabs on the Protection Ring that match slots in the Upper Part of Knee Frame:
Secure the Protection Ring into place from the other side with the prepared Knee Joint Bolt, using the Wrench (13O) as shown.
This Bolt is the pivot axis for the knee joint and should be tightened securely:
Firmly press the pin of the Knee Protection Blade (R) into this matching hole of the Upper Part of Knee Frame.
There is a small locating pin on the Blade, seen here:
That pin matches this notch on the Upper Part of Knee Frame:
We need to align the pin and notch as we press the Blade into place, as shown:
The tip of the Blade should be oriented to fit between the Protection Ring and the Lower Inner Plate Cover, as shown:
Retrieve your two remaining Joint Washers from the previous issue. Fit a Joint Washer into the matching recesses at these locations on both sides of the Upper Part of Knee Frame. As before, the grooves should be facing out and align the keyed tab into the slot as shown:
While holding the Washers in place, slide the Knee Joint End (R) onto the Knee Frame, capturing the Washers in between and aligning the screw holes.
The free end of the Joint End should be pointing up, as shown. On my model, it took quite a bit of effort to slide this over the two Washers:
Secure this Joint End into place with one (1) NP screw:
Firmly press the pin of the Cylinder Plate (R) into the matching interior post of the Rear Leg Cylinder (R), as shown:
Fit the thinner eyelet of the Cylinder Connector between these rounded tabs of the Cylinder Plate, orienting it as shown and aligning the screw holes.
There is a small locating pin on the thinner eyelet of the Connector that fits under a tab between the Cylinder Plate tabs:
Insert the smooth end of the Cylinder Plate Pin into this tab of the Plate, through the Connector, and out the other tab of the Plate.
When seated correctly, the ends of this Pin should be even on both sides of the Plate tabs:
Gently rotate the Rear Shield Plate (13D) out of the way, as shown:
Prepare one (1) HM screw by sliding a split-ring Mudguard Washer over the end of it, as shown:
Fit the free eyelet of the Cylinder Connector over this post of the Upper Part of Knee Frame, orienting it as shown:
Secure the Connector to the Knee Frame with the prepared HM screw:
Once this part is installed, the Rear Shield Plate can now be rotated back to its original position.
Firmly press the three pins of the Outer A-Ring Support Plate (R) into the matching holes of Outer B-Ring Support Plate (R), matching the shapes as shown:
Firmly press the three pins of the Outer Knee Protection Ring (R) into the matching holes of Outer A-Ring Support Plate (R), orienting it as shown.
The pins of this Ring are different sizes, so this should only be fitted the correct way:
Press the D-shaped holes of each Outer Ring End Cap onto these matching pins of the Outer B-Ring Support Plate (R), as shown.
If you find the fitment of these parts loose, feel free to use a small drop of super glue to secure them in place:
The ‘split’ ends of each Outer Ring End Cap should lean in towards the Outer Knee Protection Ring (R), as shown:
Finally, press the two pins of the Outer B-Ring Support Plate (R) into these matching posts of the Upper Part of Right Knee, as shown.
The Rear Shield Plate should be rotated into the position shown here (arrow) before installing this Support Plate. Note the two posts (circled) where the Support Plate will be installed:
These Support Plate pins are different sizes, so this will only fit correctly one way:
We still have so much to add to this Right Leg assembly and it keeps getting better as we go! Be sure to take special care while storing this Leg until the next shipment of issues arrives to prevent damaging any of the detail parts.
